Was on Facebook this morning and someone had put up a post about the new update for the 1871 & 1971gp units. I have done the update now I just have to put my navionics onto a sd card, will be handy to get all my spots too.

thats awesome news......will make a massive difference......too bad i bought a tablet to run Navionics and just set it up in the boat a couple months ago :). But I will still set it up.
So as far as setting it up...will I need to buy a new Navionics Platinum card to run it...or as I have a Naviionics subscription for the Samsung tablet can i somehow just copy the file from that and transfer it to the Furuno?

But I am having trouble getting it onto the sd card, there is a bit of info on the net I will have another try my subscription ends in a couple of weeks maybe that has something to do with it.

That's awesome news, just saved me buying a standalone plotter.
