garmin or lowrance sounder??????

hello all i see bcf has there sounders on sale which one would be the go the garmin 550c or the lowrance elite 5x ..i usually fish around the forty meter mark anyone with any experience with either would be great cheers trev..

The elite 5 is rather easy
The elite 5 is rather easy to use. Would b fine for the 40's to 50's. what are they asking for them? Do u have the card for it? Cause that's an extra $$$

the garmin 550c is $499 was$659 ..640 x 480 pixels the elite 5x is $329 was $549 ..480x480 pixels i have a seperate gps so no need for combo ..looking at the price drop on the lowrance they must have some new models coming soon ...iv heard garmin are lacking in the sounder division dont no if they have picked up there game..

Lowrance over garmin for sounders. Garmin make good GPS but sounder side not as good in my opinion.

Picked up a elite 7 HDI
