Gazebo

What are your thoughts on setting up a Gazebo for week long camping trips? They all appear to come with disclaimers suggesting to only use in light wind. Assuming they are properly tied down with guy ropes and good pegs, do they stand up to our regular sea breeze?

100% doable
In the right time of the year haha.
Star picket for each leg and cable ties.
Use a good quality one and you should be fine. I have set up the same one for years.

Yeah unless you are spending
Yeah unless you are spending large forget the gazebo.
Get the dome style gazebo like holth mentioned, I always run wind breaks also. Set up a couple of shade cloth wind break/diverters and your camp will be more pleasant and will take the pressure off whatever you set up.
Those poly star pickets are the go.

Star pickets on each corner work for me
We used to gaffer tape them to the poles and had no problems with strong winds.

We pegged down and
We pegged down and cable-tied 2 together at North Kurrajong a couple of years back and had no trouble. The ground there is super hard which probably helped. These were just Oz Trail or Wanderer.
