some pretty good info on the site - but I assume you have seen that
We dropped in there 2 years ago (they do some awesome scones and coffee)- in terms of launching - the ground was fairly firm but you would only want a small boat there as it looked pretty shallow

Yep anything up to 5m be perfect for creeks and exploring the other side, heaps of good country!
