Girl attacked on verge for mobile phone
Had a weird experience today. As I was heading to a mates place for some fresh smoked Australian salmon a white 1984-5 Nissan pulsar pulled up in front with number plates covered.
Two girls jumped out of the Pulsar with the male driver on the wheel. They attacked a young slight girl on the verge as I passed which became a whole lot more serious when she started screaming with fear. They were attacking her and wrestled her phone of her. By the time I had pulled into the drive in front to see "exactly" was going on they were running back to the car.
Figuring the girl was being abducted I waited to see if they were dragging her back to the vehicle ready to T-bone the car but she was left behind. You cant be sure of these things. No good reversing punching your towball into the drivers door only to realise it may have been a sisterly tiff.
The girls who attacked were laughing.
The attacked girl was tiny, about size 6, histerical screaming in shock.
The moral of the story. Dont let your kids wave their fancy phones around while walking home from anywhere.

My Moral Take
I'd say the worlds full of arseholes with no respect for other peoples property.
How were the number plates covered up? Pretty obvious they were up to no good.

Should have still rammed the car. That would have been satisfying to see the attackers get a bit roughed up. But thats just me and my strange way of thinking. Defend those who cannot defend themselves.
Cant see this scenario being a 'sisterly tiff', especially with number plates covered.
Might be worth you reporting it to the local police station as i am sure the girl probably would not have remebered what the vehicle looked like if she or he parents reported the incident.

It all happened in 20 seconds. I only noticed half the number plate covered up with a red T-shirt as I jumped of the car to get the details.
The back half was the other end of the plate.

I dont think Id want the bill or the drama if it was a tiff. At first it looked like a teenage cat fight until all the pieces unfolded and the screaming sounded a lot desperate.
The details I collected went off to the cops via one of the 20 odd business people that came running out.
Dont let your kids walk around texting in public. This attack was premeditated.

There was much better than that in the car. Better to get the details than leap out of the car with an axe and a Gorrilla bar only to freak people out if you get it wrong.

I dunno. When i see crap
I dunno. When i see crap like that goin on where as its definately wrong doing, i'll do what i can to sort the bastards without taking consequences into consideration. Better to stop them then let em get away with it. I've seen some pretty bad stuff happen while i stood there onlooking. It made my blood boil and I couldnt sleep afterwards which resulted in about 10 months of bad insomnia.
I suppose its one of the spare of the moment things where you just dont take the time to think much amongst the comotion. Hard to say what one may do instinctively when things like that happen so so fast. Sorry if i went a bit emo with this, just reminds me of a bad experiance.

I hear you chan. I have very few regrets in life, but some i do is instances where i stood by and watched bad things happen in which i couldnt do anything. Time spent in Iraq with the Army. And like you i lost alot of sleep over it. In those instances orders prvented me doing anything.
Promised myself to never back down from a situation where i would be able to help someone in need after my time over the water. Not saying that i will carelessly throw myself in harms way of course. But more to trust my instincts. And stand for what i believe in.

But as stated sometimes these things happen so quick you dont have time to assess the situation or even react. Everything is easier in hindsight.

Not at all Russ. Just really shaken up as they grabbed her. I thought they were going to drag her to the car. They ran back to the car as I crossed the road with her phone.
20 seconds and a lot happens. There wasnt a need for tools. The girls would have been a push over if it came to violence.
The best thing is to aqcuire your IMEI number. Ring your provider. Have it shut down and tracked for 3 days. Its pretty much useless to anyone after that unless they wanted the battery
