Gme radio help

 hey guys just brought my first boat it comes with a radio it wasn't working so found out its wird to a tube fuse is this normal to wire them to a fuse or can I just hard wire them cheers sam

Yes it normal to have a fuse inline with one or both of the power leads. If there is a problem the 20c fuse will blow protecting the radio and you boat wiring from meltdown.

make sure everything is earthed back to the battery aswell.the clown i bought my boat from had earth on the ally and i`ve found some bad

electrolysis pitting under the floor.

used the hull as an earth return ?? , your kidding, lucky you found it early more fires caused and damage done to boats by blokes thinking its just 12v or 24v I cant get hurt I will do it my self than you might believe
