gnaraloo boating advice with map!
Hi Paul
map attached of the bay - I have circled a track, this track runs up a slight hill/incline - we have used this in the past as a guide to see if we are too far south when coming in. When coming in from the south you want to be at least lined up with the track before coming in (depending on swell) prefably you want to be north of the track. It quite faint on the map but relatively easy to see from the water - the scrub is very low so it does stand out.
We have come in on a complete glass off - that area south of my scrappy red arrow is very interesting and can result in some pretty big waves popping up when there is swell around.
We have always stayed at 3 mile and launched from the bay and left my boat in the carpark on trailer - never had any problems but also don't leave much in the boat
enjoy

That's a good pic pelagic,
That's a good pic pelagic, another thing on the way in is I use the land as a guide where the sand meets the red dirt.

Yeah that's awesome mate
Yeah that's awesome mate cheers for that. I was looking at google maps and you can see that deeper water section to aim for.
We are camping at 3mile too which is a big mission every day to take the boat all the way there and back so I will either moor the boat up over night if the beach launching is a bit tricky, or retrieve the boat and leave up at the bay or take it back to the homestead and leave it there over night. And yeah there won't be any valuable's left in it, don't wanna tempt fate.
Cheers, looking forward to it!

we launched a 23 foot
we launched a 23 foot walkaround with twin outboards (ie heavy!) there no problems - I say no problems because we used the steel tracks on the beach - make sure you use them its worth the piece of mind!

Good map!
That's the exact route we used - took care out and then in on the first day but confidence grew after that.
Definitely use the tracks regardless of vehicle or boat. I got in a bit of strife on my first retrieval and another mob up there nearly lost their car. We were cleaning the catch on the filleting tables near the homestead on dusk when one of their sons came running up the track yelling for help. Car was into the sills but luckily the blokes next to us on the tables had an f250 who went to assist.

Tracks
I was there a few weeks ago and there is not many tracks remaining up there. We took our own. Keep a good eye out on the breaker in the middle when heading in and out. Give the reef plenty of width to the North when the swell is up as there is one section that sits in three mts of water that pops out of 8 mts. It is the last set of reef to the North.
Good luck and have a great weeks fishing. Say hi to Paul and Colleen for me. Dave

Thanks for the heads up, we
Thanks for the heads up, we have a few max tracks and will also have a 2nd vehicle to help snatch me out if need be and spare fold down wheel on the trailer so the boat/trailer can be dragged up the beach seperately.
Yeah on the google image I can see the nice darker/deeper water so I will aim for that and stay north as you said.
cheers mate
