Gnaraloo Trip / Carnarvon Mud Crabs?

Morning!

Have planned our annual boys fishing trip and instead of going to Mackeral Islands like we have been doing the last few years we have decided to go to Gnaraloo so booked in late April / Early May. Big thanks to Seakem (Andy) for the advice prior to booking the trip. Im a little nervous about getting the 200 all salty when launching and retrieving though haha..... Any advice on where to fish up there, depths, what works and what doesnt and even some coordinates would be handy hahaha!!

But anyway main question is Im anticipating having a day or 2 where it blows up so was thinking about heading back to Carnarvon for a pub lunch and to go hooking for Mud Crabs and was hoping if anyone could tell me where we can go that would be good to get a feed of Muddies or point me in the right direction? Never been fishing or anything in Carnarvon before

Cheers!

Piggy

Why not fabricate an extension draw bar

Carry it in the boat and just use it for launching ......Andy should be able to give some advice on whether this suggestion has legs

 There ceratainly are a few

There ceratainly are a few who use that method gordon, another way with the bigger boats is to have two cars with one on a snatch in the hard stuff.

Or as we do use tracks under the rear car tyres and then under the trailer tyres, never really have a problem but it can depend on the tide.

There's absolutley noreason up there to dunk the car.

Same tracks under rear wheels mate, let vehicle tyres down to about 12-15 pound, and trailer to 20.Can get me 5.5 genesis on tandem out without a wheel spin with hilux.Soft tyres better ride =  less spillage back to homestead

 How dose gnaraloo compare to

Fri, 2023-03-10 10:02

How dose gnaraloo compare to launching at the other spots warrooa, nigaloo? We used the two car method it worked fine, boat was a 5.5 trailcraft. Is gnaraloo better for bigger boats 6.6m ?
