Going back to pirate country

Gday Guys

Just doing my second last nightshift before I pack up and head back up to the Pilbara.Moved down to Albany 4 years ago and started doing the fly in /out thing.Albanys a great place but bloody cold.It took me about 7 months to consistanly catch fish down there ,not bad after 25 years in the pilbara.Hopefully The new camera will be in the xmas presents as Ive hinted it for 11 months now.How many of you have moved around the country in the last 2 years? Is there anything worse than packing?

Cheers

solly

Nightshift

Mon, 2008-11-10 01:14

I'm on nightshift as well mate, but I've still got 8 of them to go. Looking forwards to getting home though.

And your right I hate packing, The trick is to do a really bad job of it so the missis gets real shity at ya and tell ya to $%^# off and she wants ya out of her hair, So in my eyes that means go fishing or down the pub....haha....

Where abouts in the Pilbara you going?

Hmm Solly sounds familiar, I've lived in Karratha all my life (so far) used to fish with the Hornhardts and Patsy a bit.

Wellcome back Solly

As Daisy said good time to be comming back With the weather coming good.Bart-Man good Barra off the bank, what did you mean about someone netting was that for Barra as it is illegal up here so if you see it again it may pay to get some sort of rego or other details off to the fisheries before they stuff the rivers for any type of fishing.

Prior planning and preperation prevents piss poor performance

Gday Mitch and Colin

Mon, 2008-11-10 22:31

Reakon we will be on some trips in the future, there no chance on heading south for about twenty years.Already planning some and working on a bigger boat.(missus dosent know about that yet)Im taking the boat with me so it will be in the water before the furniture arrives so there will be some chilly mud crab soon mate.I tried my best to fit into Albanys weather patterns but with only 1 week off and so many crap days I was driving myself up the wall.

G'day Solly

Yeah mate, it sure is a lot trickier picking good days down in Albany - and we haven't had many decent days for a long long time. Even harder to do when you're almost 50 clicks 'up the road' Yell
