Good combo for pilbara

Hey guys, im doing a 3month stint on the mines up north at Port Hedland so i've decided that ill try do some landbased fishing on my weekends etc.

I havent done much landbased fishing due to uni constraints, so i still gotta research spots etc but hope to get some barra.

Ive decided to get a spin combo and at the moment ive brought a sustain 4000fg and need a rod to match. I plan to spool it with 20lb braid and so far

ive narrowed the search down to the following rods; but im open to suggestions:

TCurve T Series - Power Spin 672

TCurve Revolution Inshore - Barra Spin 662

I will also be using the rod as an all around spin combo for most of my landbased fishing around Perth for tailor etc.

would a shorter rod be a bit better maybe a 6ft so i can use it on a boat as well??

Any help is appreciated, cheers.

Than 20 lp to give better chance of landing a big barra.

6 ft rod would be all you need

can pm you a couple of spots to try if you want.

20-30lb braid is just fine.

20-30lb braid is just fine. combo looks good mate i think you'll be able to tackle most situations with that set up, make sure whatever rod you get has plenty of grunt in the bottom end, lots of places to work lures, SP's and jigs around these parts and when those trevally/queenies/cod/barra/threadies nail your offerings you'll want that grunt to slow them down and steer them away from the nasty stuff. 4000 reel is spot on and what i use for my shore based activities and light boat work with 15-20lb braid.

I use to work up there and did a lot of fishing on my rdo's, I had a stradic 400 with 15lb braid with a t curve travel inshore rod and found that's more than enough,
I use to go fishing at cape Keraudren which is an awesome spot, for trevs, queenies, jacks, bluebone, seen blokes pull in barra at 6mile, boodarie was good for salmon and muddies, but if your limited to stay around town then I reccommend cook point always queenies, goldens and lil gts about, lil stick baits worked best and thr trusty halco slice.
