soft placky mulloway rod?

G'day guys,

I'm looking for a rod to chase mulloway in the river using SP's, mostly used on a boat but a little land based also. About 7ft long would be ideal and will be using between 12-20lb braid. I'm not sure on what weight to go with. 3-6kg, 5-8kg, 5-10kg or 6-10kg? need to be able to turn the head if one decides to run for structure. budget will be $200 max for now.

I never thought id buy a terez but i just bought one for that purpose but may be a bit heavy because i intend to use it off the beach. 7ft2 very light and rated to 40lb powerpro (which i think is bs more like 20-30 lb) i was looking for a while and had a budget of $400 but settled on this rod at $230. Has a nice very fast action for placcies. Only downside is its 1 piece. I run 20lb and a 4000 sustain and casts 8 inch placcies and 1 1/2oz nice.

I have an FWA 4-6kg spin (rated to 20lb, which once again is probably an exaggeration).

caught some trevally and mackeral to 8kg up north on it and it handled it well. Lightweight

and has a really nice action to it, love it to bits, $160 from memory at oceanside

Lemax Black Rose - awesome

Lemax Black Rose - awesome things.

RH-S 70 HF2 7'0" S 2 H FAST 12-30LB 15-60g
RH-S 80 HF2 8'0" S 2 H FAST 12-35LB 15-80g

I've got the 8ft, great tip action and plenty of grunt through the middle.
I've also got a Daiwa Black Label 722 MHRS Spin which has amazing finesse for working lures, is super light and good solid power through the middle, used for flicking lures at GTs and queenies off the beaches up north.
Would recommend both/either.

cheers guys, well after looking for a while I have decided to be a cheap arse and go with a shimano raider 5-8kg heavy spin rod. I have had a raider 2-4kg that I use for bream for about 7 years now and its never let me down, even after 7 years of punishment on salmon down malimup and yagerup casting 30g twisties. so 7ft 1 piece 5-8kg running 15lb braid on my crappy old daiwa tiera 3000 is my mulloway basher for now. if I find i'm actually hooking up to a few and find some pattern to catching them I will upgrade the whole combo to something more specific to the pattern or area. hope I can post a pic of a swan river mully on plastic soon.
