Good knots for light lines

Can the GT knot be used in light braid? i have finally learnt how to tie it and am very impressed with the way it travels through the guides with heaver line and leaders.

For light river fishing i use a back to back uni, but it makes me cringe every time it goes through guides.

I can tie a bimni in braid larger than 20lb no probs but find it difficult in braid lighter than that. is 70-80 turns too much in 3-5kg braid?

Any suggestions on knots that go through guides better than the uni?

I use GT's in almost everything (ironically except for GT's). They work really well with light lines and pull up really compact with the tag inline so they cast really well. If you match your line and terminal knot right you can even have it snap off at the end so you dont need to retie the whole thing, just a new uni knot. As long as you dont bust them off they last ages though.

I do about 50-60 turns most of the time. (I had one braid that slipped at under 40 but dont use it any more). A tip for doing the knot is to put the loop over your reel handle knob and turn it to take the slack out. If your rods in the rod holder it gives you two hands to spread the line and to guide the tag around. Easier to do the half hitch then too.

Fish-N-Fool knot on everything, easy to tie and rated [proven] the worlds strongest fishing knot hands down.

Looks like a uni but go through the eye once more? Not sure how you would join braid to mono with it.

uni for under 12lb as its a knot you can tie fast. I agree the occasional one doesnt slip through the guides well but trimming really tight normally sorts that.
