Gps repairers

Hi all just wondering if anyone knew where I could get my gps fixed. I turned it on thisarvo and it powers up but the screen doesn't work I think someone has sat on it and squashed the screen in;-( not happy it has all my spots on it and I've never backed it up onto a memory card it's a navman 5505 and from what I've read online navman aren't available anymore and u can't get replacement parts. If anyone knows somewhere I could take it to get it fixed or just copy my waypoints I would be over the moon.

is it the screen not working or the back light

turn your gps on and use a torch facing the screen if you can see the screen but there is no back light throw it away and start again! this happened to me and i priced up a new led backlight but they said it is part of the screen and will cost around $600 to fix! if it is just the back light use the torch so you can see what your doing and back your gps marks up onto a user card!

I'm wondering if you connected two units together via nav-bus or NMEA bus, could one see the waypoints of the other unit. I have a spare 5600 plus two power leads.

NavBus is a NAVMAN proprietary system that allows

multiple 3100 series instruments and NAVMAN

chartplotters to share data

All setup data entered into one instrument is

automatically sent to all other instruments of the

same type. For example:

If setup data such as keel offset, speed

damping or steer angle is set on one

instrument then the same data is set on all

instruments.

And they had not sold the unit nor do they sell them...
