The Great White and Bronze Whaler Problem

Sadly the good old days of diving surfing and even swimming are gone for many of us due to the excessive numbers of sharks that can breed out of control and the risk they pose to the public. My dear mother has always said no cray, no fish, is worth risking your life for. I spent hundreds of hours as a young bloke diving at Burns Beach ,Rotto, Point Perron and surfing at Scarborough Beach. Up until 2010 i used to swim from Brighton Beach to Trigg Point and back but gave it away due to the White Shark Problem. My wife asked can we do and about about this sad situation or is it to late? Lastest media is WA IS GREAT WHITE CENTRAL.

im the same Superfish. I have spent all my life in the water divin/spearfishing surfing and ocean swimming but now it’s just too much of a risk. Now with kids you would hate to leave them without a father. It upsets me that my son won’t be able to grow up as I did experiencing it as I did.

Im not sure what the answer is maybe let Big game trophy hunters pay a license fee to catch one and take the jaws home then use the carcass for research and funds raised for more tagging. The more information gathered the more we will understand their migration patterns and work out why they are building in numbers in our state.

Not hard to work out why.

The sharks are doing the same thing every other food requiring species have done since the beginning of life on earth...as their food source (marine mammals) increases, so do they.

I agree with the Big Game

I agree with the Big Game Trophy fee it would make use of the carcass and allows us to  genertate addtional  income for the WA economy as well. What I find intersting is the human race is growing and so is our demand for food. So we harvest more fish, yet we fail to remove the apex predator of that eco system- sharks- you cant have one with out the other.  Thier needs to be a quota for sharks to be removed and montired like any other quota. But unforatnultey there are too many SJW/Greentards that prevent this from happening.

Just explaining what jighead said , my first initial post was a link to a very stylish tin foil hat, but on reflection ( haha get it)

after it had greatly emused me for all of 5 minutes , I thought the invisible wetsuits added more to the discussion .

I might be better off diving nude , that put any shark off!!!

I think anything that makes us more unlikely to be attcked or eaten would be a good thing. I just think it is is crying shame our kids and grand kids will live in fear of the water due to the bungling miss managment and lack of action due to the greenies and government red tape.
