Could pick up a T-Curve GT
Could pick up a T-Curve GT Special for that also which is another option.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

+1 on the t curve GT
+1 on the t curve GT special, i have one and have hooked an estimated 30kg GT as my first fish on that rod. The rod held up well, plenty of strength, i just wasnt strong enough lol.

My Stella 8000Sw when used for popping/Sticking GTs
In Damoier was a humble Samurai Jig10. I never was intending it solely for this, but surprised me as a dual Jig/popper rod. I always tried to be flexible but was more than happy with this setup.
A little left field but served me very well.
So for a dual role not a bad investment. Just didnt hammer the lures as far as a designated popper rod.
For a dual role was superb, and as a smallish 5.8ft bloke found it easier as the dedicated poppingd rods. Some local ragged me, but results on the board speaks for themseves. Never chased the Gbusses, but had a ball.

I haven't fished that
I haven't fished that saltist rod so can't comment on it sorry.
I know some people do use the heavy monster mesh popping rods as another cheaper option - but the T-Curve is a proven rod at that price

The GT special is a strong
The GT special is a strong rod but fairly heavy. If your a small bloke (or a weak old prick with a stuffed back like me) you will find it hard work after an hour or two of casting big poppers and stick baits.
I bought a Demon Blood PE6 casting rod as a back-up rod for one of the trips, it is so light and nice to use I ended up keeping it and selling the other heavier rods. However, it does not have the stopping force on big GT's, but then again, nor do I these days....

The monster mesh popping rods
The monster mesh popping rods work quiet well too, i used one when i fished with Peak sportfishing last year, felt a bit lighter than the t curve and i managed to land a GT around the 20kg mark. Unfortunately they stopped production last year. I think the best thing to do is go into a tackle store and ask their opinion too ( i got all my GT stuff from Compleat Angler Nedlands) the guys really helped me out as i was lost as to what to buy. What John said is spot on , u will want a rod that suits u well, not necessarily what everyone else uses. Also i forgot to ask what lb line you are running, as that is fairly important to know in order to match up to a suitable rod. Also best of luck for the trip, hope u get stuck into some big ones.![](http://fishwrecked.com/sites/all/libraries/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/teeth_smile.gif)
