GT Fishing Charters Dampier/Point Sampson Area

Hi,
Im heading across to Karratha next week for 6 days for my sisters wedding and was hoping to get some fishing in while im over there. I will have access to my some wheels (probably not a 4wd) so could go anywhere between Dampier and Point Sampson. Im just wondering if anyone around that area does charters for GT fishing? If so do you happen to know their contact details? Ive never been up north/west fishing so would love to wet the line a few times. I will also be taking some of my own gear across and hope to do a bit of shore fishing for queenies or what ever else is on offer so if you have any advice on technique, gear and spots to try that would be great!
Cheers,
Joel

thanks mullows for the info, will give em a buzz to see if i can tee something up.
Does anyone have advice on some shore based techniques around the area? I'm a complete newbie at this sort of fishing, I'm primarily a fresh water fisherman from northeast victoria so any help with the matter would be great.
Cheers

cleverville creek and the
cleverville creek and the associated coastline along there, the causeway before Point Samson, rocks off Honeymoon cove, flick some poppers/slices from withnell bay. being winter if you find a suitable tide the karratha back beach can turn up salmon on half a mulie in 1m of water. theres a start for you

Do some searches on here. Shore based can be hit and miss, and certainly not as good as boat. But then for the first year and a half thats what we did, and it wasnt always bad.
Fishing is tidal here, and best is an incoming to top and then early drop.
Areas to try is numerous, but I would suggest Cleaverville Creek near the mouth, currently some Threadfins around, back beach north near the Mangroves. (as you get to back beach look right and you will see the Mangroves) This is certainly very tidal as the water runs out to nothing.
Also can try Wickham Beach, just ok on the beach near the club, but with a 4x4 head a little further west/south and find a spot. Again tidal and crap at low.
If you have a 4x4 and have someone to show you how to go over the jump up and the beaches beyond is always worth a shot, but hard to get to due to the Jump Up. Whiting, Trevors, Queenies, odd Snapper and Sharks from shore.
My favourite spot from shore is Sampson Causeway, but on a outgoing to low tide. In the Estuary type "thing" there is the odd bream etc, but the action is on the seaside. With an outgoing tide bait is flushed into the seaside area. It is very very rocky and shallow, and has acounted for more lures than all the shops in Kcity combined over the years. Dont think about a bottom fish, its donating terminals to the God off the Ocean. Use plastics with a light jighead (snapbacks in white go to for this but anything will do), Mulie with a snell rig (I dont like gangs for this, as three snag points is one to many, and teeth usually isnt an issue) and keep it moving. Best choice IMO is stickbaits and poppers. Good old halco roosta poppers in Black/gold or Mackerel pattern, but my favourite lure here by far is a Cultiva Tango Dancer stickbait. Mangrove jacks cant resist them, and any colour will do, but I have found the ones that have some clear plastic slightly better. There is a yellowish version that also is just a little better IMO.
All you have to do is throw the terminal gear into the current (you will see what I mean) racing out, and then retrieve slowly with whatever you usings intended action, keeping above the snags. Dont be afraid to retrieve almost to your feet. Best spot is not on the wall where the "cut" in the causeway is, but about a third up from it where the wall straightens after the Kink near the cut. You will see what is meant. But anywhere in the middle-ish area of the wall casting into or toward the outflowing current your in with a chance. Fishing is possible as soon as the flow starts, but is better when the current is racing, and even OK still when the tide is out, but on neaps it is impossible because it is to low. Once there is any inflow I go to the pub! Its done and I dant like wasting time on the inside.
Any area with water is worth a go, even Hearsons which has accounted for our biggest Threadfin at 112cm, but is very hit and miss. I go there on an incoming tide to "Chill", have a beer or 2, fish close for a yummy feed off whiting if they are on, Gather some bait with a castnet, and have 2 life baits out looking for the bigger predetors. So 4 rods between 2 fishers. You just never know, and it is relaxing.
With any coastal area near mangroves ----- BUSHMANS, or you discovere that going to the Dr's for treatment for the severe itch is $$$$
Mate I hope this helps a little, but not the shore expert at all for 4 yrs now.
