has any one got an amintaed version of instructions for the gt knot or some simple easy to read and understand diagrams at all?

They ain't the way we tie GT knots , if you want Matt I can call around and show you our way of doing them , much easier than what he was doing .

Yer looked at that , lost me in the first 10 seconds , agree with mav, our way is much quicker .Dad and i use the G/T to join mono to braid never had one slip or brake yet ,Dad will show you at the next comp if you have not already been shown

Japanese GT knot

The first Youtube animation is of a roll knot that works well but you need to burn off the tag end but i prefer the Japanese GT knot that Mav is on about.

That knot is fairly easy and runs through the guides nicely, we show our customers that one if they want the best knot or the other above knot if that's too hard!
