Guilderton

Hi all,

I have just joined fishwrecked and recently moved to WA. I'm looking forward to reading everyone’s posts! This weekend I will be heading up to Guilderton. I was wondering if anyone could please point me in the right direction for that area. Beach or river information ( bait or lure) would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully to get onto some Tailor, Bream or Mullaway!

Regards

Brad

river mouth

mate i think the best place to start is the river mouth and work your way down the beach  if you can. if the mouth is open to the beach even better. high tide or the lowest tide have produced mullaway, you just gotta put in the hours. as for bait you should stick with mulies and if you catch a tailor then use it for fillets for mullaway. your best bet is to follow the almanac for now as it has been pretty spot on with the times! good luck mate... let us know if you get any.

Hi brad, Guilderton is a geat area to fish, I would start with the groin just north of town.

I have caught mulloway, tailor, and sharks from this spot. Might be a bit of weed this time of year tho.

Anywere in the river is ok, best to explore up river a bit, mullie cubes work well , cast into deep corners or snags.

Cheers Grant..

Hi Fellas,

We ended up getting a few herring of the beach south of the groin on metal slices and a few bream on mullies in the river. Nothing to write home about though. Still it was good to get away. Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Brad
