Had my medical for Rio yesterday

Woo hoo, may have a new job up at Yandicagina and flying in and out of Busso too. My absolute first preference. Got through the medical well yesterday (used a few muscles I'd forgotten about) so just waiting to see. Job is through Integrated. Only as a Process Technician at this stage but is a huge step inside the door which is what I need.

G'day Brad I've been trying to get into the powerhouse at Dampier but they are closing it down. That would have been an awesome spot. Heaps of jobs everywhere on the coast but they are all residential.

Yeah, but once you have a little bit of experience you can apply for a transfer to a job on the coast with housing. I guess you just need to keep an eye out for what jobs are coming up on the coast and keep applying. You will have first preference over other non rio applicants being that you are already working for them. That is if you want to move to a town up here on the coast.

Got another nibble for
Got another nibble for another job, and on the coast,,, As I mentioned before about the Dampier Power house, I now have an interview in the city on Thursday to have a talk about it. Down side: Have to fly in and out of Perth but on domestic flights. Still 2 on 1 off.
Up side: Earn up to $75 per hour, on the coast, and still with Rio.

Mate i was a maintenance techy at yandi for a few years a few years back... Nice Plant, and well organised joint..left for BHP ravensthorpe, Spewin that didnt work out.
