Hi all
I have a hardtop which had a liner to hide wiring for solar, nav lights etc - the existing liner was removed by previous owner and i am looking to replace -its around 2.5m x 2.5m but could be replaced in smaller sections, liner not structural at all but will get wet....
was thinking of something like 3mm boat board - any other ideas out there?
cheers

Fibreglass
Get some melamine or any smooth sheeting and hit it with releasing agent, lay up some glass and epoxy cover with peel p,y and you're away. Nice fresh smooth visible surface and a textured underside.

thanks - i just discovered the wonders of peel ply - i made a hatch to cover flybridge stairs (from the top) and after doing that would not be keen on a job this big! :-)

Give it a go!
Instead of one big job I'd turn that area into four smaller identical panels. An honest two hours work per day for a four day period and you're in business. Sounds like you've got the basics down pat already.

Liner
Has a hardtop built recently. I used an aluminium composite foam board. Light weight and easy to work with.
Has a gloss white side so dont even need to finish it and about $200 for a 3m sheet. Got it from Plastral in Malaga

Tools
Can cut it with most normal wood working tools.
I cut it to size on a table saw then trimmed to fit with a multi tool.
Is very lightweight. I got the 1500 wide.
