2 Hours on the side of the road
A similar story to one of yours Russ but I was lucky to be metro based... Spent 2 hours in 40+ heat on Sunday repairing hub and replacing wheels after a series of bad luck. End result is a new (second hand) trailer. Now just got to transfer the boat onto it before going to Busso in a week.
Cheers,
David

Managed to get out Monday.
Managed to get out Monday. The weather was forecast as pretty average (all yellow on seabreeze) but we were greeted with glass as soon as we got past garden island. It stuck glassy until mid arvo. Probably the best conditions I've ever been in. The fishing wasnt bad either, with a few nice fish landed. Unfortunately we didnt find any decent fish in the deeper water (200's or so).

Fishing Sunday
Got out on Sunday, bit breezy early on then dropped off to nothing. 1 dhufish, 1 Queen snapper, 3 decent Breaksea and 3 Samson fish. Fishing at spots from 35 to 65 metres. Wind at 4.00pm was non existent at 30 km's offshore, no drift whatsoever!!
