Gentle Man
i have a Hds10 gen 1 lowrance with a 600w transducer. I also have a tm260 1kw in the shed that I'm thinking of hooking up. Does any body have a hds 10 running a tm260? will it run it? I'd try it but the cord is for a furuno which I'm willing too change if there's some positive feed back.
Cheers

M260
Hey Alpha,
I used to run a m260 wetbox 1kw through a gen 1 hds10, it was equally as good as the Furuno 587 that I added to replace an older Furuno. Never got the chance to run the lowrance out in the real deep stuff though

Excellent
Thanks Johnny. That’s the plan this season is too go out a bit wider. The tm260 used to be on a 585 which are a great sounder but that boat has since been moved on and the newer boat has the HD’s 10. Would like to upgrade too the 295 but that’s some serious coin. So I’ll try my cheaper option at the moment and see how we go first. Would like to get out too the 2 to 300 mark and try our luck and hoping the HD’s will run the tm260.

More sensitive
The TM 260 is worth hooking up as it is something like 50 times more sensitive than a p66 type transducer. So even if you can't drive it with full 1kw of power you'll still have a much better result at 600w than with a p66.
