HDS 7 Question
Submitted by Ryan C on Mon, 2018-01-08 20:20
Hi guys , can anyone tell me how to remove the info bar on the RHS of my HD’s 7 gen 3 touch so I have full map screen? My last unit was a regular HD’s 7 and I didn’t have this info , I’ve mucked around with it several times with no success? Help!

Not sure that you can remove it
given it’s a touch screen / button combo unit, I would be doubtful you can remove the touch screen aspects of the config.
perhaps try making contact with the local Lowrance agent, however I don’t like your chances on removing that side part of the display, given the touch screen aspect is half the reason those particular units are so popular

Put your finger on the edge
Put your finger on the edge of the info bar where it meets the map and flick to the right as you would on an iPhone scrolling screens

Hey Ryan, I have hds 7 gen
Hey Ryan, I have hds 7 gen 2&3 and you can definitely do what you are asking on both units. You can even set a time (ie 10,20,30 seconds) and it will automatically remove the menu bar. I just can't remember atm where the settings are. Fairly sure I found the settings via lowrance web site tutorials.

+1 for Swipe right
You can also make the menu automatically disappear after 15 seconds by going to the home screen (where you can select Chart,Sonar,Structure etc), click Settings, System, Advanced, User Interface, Auto hide menu
