Heading South with partner for 3-5 days of camping, Where to go, and fish?

Spent my last week off up at Sandy Cape, north of Jurien. Fishing was very average, though i didnt explore much at all wasnt able to do any decent missions.

... so this time im looking to head south for 3-5 days. Where ever i can get in about 8 hours of travel that is road friendly to a little Hyundai Excel ( 4WD is on my list of things to buy very soon). Camping with some nice beaches close by, and a few easy walk in spots for some rock fishing. Im keen to burley up a bit and bring a few in during the mornings/evening.

Any information or ideas would be great, as i really know nothing about the area but am keen to explore a bit.. so i can head back there at some point for LBG fishing only.

Cheers,

George.

Bungel consider Warpole

Its a world class fishing and camping spot imo. I have had ppl who have just traveled Australia camping and fishing say that its is one of the best placers they have stayed at. If you go down try the Rest Point area its got every thing you will need. Cheers

Also look into the houseboats

Come with their own tender, stay on the water and shoot off early morning for fishing.  Plenty of landbased fishing available around walpole, but the small boat fishing is excellent.

Rest Point or Coalmine Beach

Both offer tent/cabin accomodation virtually right on the water.  The knoll is a popular landbased fishing spot, also sandy beach, the rockwall in front of the coalmine beach yacht club.

That inlet is magic, KGW, Bream, Flathead and herring. Closer to Denmark, Greens Pool for KGW off the beach. Inland on the franklin river theres a few spots you can get to to fish off the bank.

Anymore information on

Anymore information on Albany areas?

Im thinking of basing around there and then doing day trips away to visit areas.

There seems to be a heap of caravan parks around but not so many camping sites.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

George.
