Help on rod specs!

I've got an Australian made Ugly Stick - bought about 5 years ago. 9' in length - one piece
great stick. Just wana clarify the specs tho..
Says its rated 4-8.5K - anyone know what this means? or is it just 1-8.5kg?
It has a lure weight of 35-128g

It means the suggested line
It means the suggested line rating is 4kg to 8.5kg. However that being said you could run up to 13.6kg(30lb) braid on one of those, the old uglystiks are very under-rated.

thanks guys. yeh its a beaut stick. Only about 5 years old, but in tip top condition. Would have to be my favourite rod for LB snapper.
