honda trim tilt problem advise**solved prob beware***

hello all i have a problem with my 40hp honda 05 model the trim seems to move about one inch either way up or down then seems to sieze up then makes a faint clicking sound from under the engine cover when i try to go up or down after its siezed the only way i can lift the motor is with the manuel override anyone had this problem before or any info would be great cheers ...solved the problem water had got into the electric motor on the trim tilt pump bad design by honda perished rubber o ring salt water had gummed up the brushes ,cleaned them up put em back bit silocone around old o ring prob fixed great,this is where it gets crazy called local honda dealer to order new set of brushes as old ones aint A1 to be told honda dont sell them seprate only way he could help me was to sell me the complete electric motor for $935.00 any body who has ever changed a set of brushes nows they are a worth about $10.00 ,he also tells me that he has had to order in complete power heads for motors because honda wont sell some parts seperate????makes ya think twice bout hondas..cheers trev..
