anyone know much about the place?
an opportunity has come up to purchase an onsite van in the caravan park there, just wondering what the place is like?
Ive never been there, apparently there is a beach launch similar to port gregory?
Anyone able to fill me in on some details about the place? Whats there, fishing, launching a boat if possible?
Thanks guys

Yep great landbased fishing
Yep great landbased fishing there. Mega Tailor on poppers!
Its like a smaller version of Gregory with an outer reef protecting a lagoon.

Didnt see a tractor while i
Didnt see a tractor while i was there. Maybe one of the locals owns it but keeps it away from the ramp. We had no dramas launching our tinnies (4.2m). There were also some 6-7m boats launching. They had now dramas with the sand. They were being pulled out behind Cruisers and Patrols. Can get a bit wavey at the ramp some days(trailer in the water, trailer out of the water, boat banging on trailer!)
This was in the June, July periods. Dont know what the sand/boat ramp conditions are like other times of year.

Oh yeah you can also launch
Oh yeah you can also launch from little bay to the north a couple of km's. But its a bit of a sandy track to get there so probably more suited to smaller boats.
Plus side, the channel out doesnt close out like the one in town does sometimes. No dramas getting in the one in town when it gets bad, just come in inbetween sets. Just can be hairy getting out. Gets to 1.5m deep at some parts. Not shallow enough to hit, but enough to mount the waves up a bit.
