Freeze
For better results, freeze it first, it makes a huge difference.

My personal favourite is a
My personal favourite is a Movida recipe. I have it in one of their books at home. Essentially you marinate it in the below overnight, then dust it in salted flour, then into the deep fryer or wok filled with very hot oil.
Quantities are pretty important though (too much vinegar and it'll taste like sht) so if I remember I'll put the exact details up when I get home tonight.
ground cumin
garlic
oregano
parsley
sherry vinegar
olive oil
brown onions
sweet Spanish paprika
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

as others have said freeze
as others have said freeze first , even if only for a few days, the thawing process gets rid of any impurities that may still be in there.
as far as cooking goes, cook it the same as any other fish. pan fried with a bit of lemon juice goes well.
so many ways they can be cooked , just dont over cook the shark .
