Hey all.
I'm wondering how long does squid last in the freezer before it goes off? I've got a bunch that i caught a few months ago in busso and froze them all together so havent had the chance to eat them all as i've been catching enough to eat each week fresh so i havent needed to defost the big lot.
Cheers danno

Depends on how you packaged
Depends on how you packaged it I guess mate, in saying that the last bag out I had (3 weeks ago I think) the missus prepped the multitude of left overs into panko squid rings. We froze them like that & still going strong bloody tasty too.

I just put oil and garlic
I just put oil and garlic salt in a bowl and mix the squid over it and then fry it for 40 odd seconds untill cooked. I also like the garlic and chilli, deep fryed and toying with the idea of making a Squid lasagna hmmm. There is so many different ways to cook them but i like the simple garlic salt and oil on best.

last?
If you cryovac the squid they can last up to 12 months in the freezer, general freezing they can still hold for 6 months plus and still taste good.
