How Much ?

Dad is not currently using his boat and has decided to sell. But what is it worth?
The boat is a 1971 Quintrex Fishabout, has been stored in a shed, used for river fishing, the motor is 1988 Classic Mecury 2 stroke that has done about 300 hours.
Hull is good conditions but could do with a coat a paint. The trailer (brake back) is in good condition. Both boat and trailer are registered.

Here’s your hull on Gumtree to give you a idea , he’s asking $2700 apparently his erinrude’s not pumping water though . He has had 1270 visits and 2 offers in 9 days so there’s a bit of interest , but it’s still for sale .

When i lived in Emouth 84-89
When i lived in Emouth 84-89 I owned one of these that was made by RE Arnold in Maylands. It was an old boat even then with a 50HP Evinrude Lark that on WOT nearly walked on the water.
It had been welded a few times as the short chop up there is damaging to boats. The owner before me used to go out to Peak Is, the murions etc. I never did that but the gulf shoals,nw reef, lighthouse bay were no trouble. Tantabiddy inside was no trouble at all and outside on a good day was OK also.
I recommend this boat from my experience. Just check the worm drive for the steering under the dash as mine shit itself one day in shitty NW conditions and broken as it was perished. Also check where the ribs contact the skin as there should material there to seperate them.
