How to re rego a boat that’s been out of rego for unknown time

Just looking for some advice from someone in the know
looking at a boat that all looks sweet structurally but has been out of rego for an unknown time
at a guess looking at his paperwork may have last been registered 2013-14
has license numbers still on it
If I were to buy the boat, how would I go about getting the thing re registered?

Mate im not in the know pretty sure its just a matter of paying the new rego you dont have to take it over the pits or anything as far as I'm aware

Just go into Dot and pay .

Too easy
My trimaran was a year out of rego ( Go Fascine being closed up...) Went down to DOT it’s a $20 extra on top of your rego fee.
My wife understands why I clean my rods n reels in the shower....

Just make sure the boat has
Just make sure the boat has a Hull Identification Number also if you are buying it unregistered, as that will be another fee on top of rego if it doesnt already have one. Some older boats havent been assigned a HIN until theyre sold and they require one.
