Hydrofoil se 400

 Hi fellas,

just wondering if anyone out there has a hydrofoil 400 se. Comes with disc grips so don’t have to drill holes. Thinking of getting one rather than the 300 se to help Boat stay on plane at low speeds. Any feedback would be great. Throwing it on a 60hp merc

Thanks I’m sold

Thanks heaps for the offer cobia but going off what you guys have said I’m sold on it. My boat planes like a pig espeacilly under load or riding swell. So no problems with the disc grips at all? I’m planning of upsizing Boat at end of year so would be good to be able to remove without leaving holes

Personally I would look at moving some weight around the boat first, relocate battery, esky etc. Be very wary of installing hydrofoil. A Little research and you’ll see for yourself.

I think I have read that thread before

i think I have read that thread before and probably the reason I have never put one on. I have already changed prop (which helped) and experimented moving heavy items around. It seems a 50/50 topic. Some people swear by them and then others say there dangerous and if not factory fitted with them then why put one on. For the sake of couple hundreds bucks I’m going to try it and if I don’t like it take it off. Appreciate all the replys
