Hey fellas, i havent been posting much latley, but i have six month round australia coming up at the start of May and have a tackle question....
if you had a spare $1500 bucks to buy a 7-8 foot land based popping out fit what would it be? rod and reel. i want somthing that will cast around the 150 grams no worries and will handle decent trevs. its really the only hole left in my arsenal.
cheers russ

Stella 10000 and a T-Curve GT
Stella 10000 and a T-Curve GT special would be the easy/obvious answer, but if you want to experiment on the rods you can probably squeeze one of the Hots or possibly a Yamaga blanks rod in for that dollars. Or an El Toro.
All of them fairly hard to find stockists for though (relative to the t-curve anyway).
I have a T-Curve GT Special that ill be looking to offload this week, was going to post it up later on (once the new toy arrives, hopefully tomorrow). Has been used once for half a day in October, caught 2 fish. Comes in the bag, not a mark on it. Paid $480 in September, chasing around $350. PM me if keen.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

i agree with the stella 10000
the rod i think comes down to how they suit each person. The one i saw the other day was at the fishing shop in woodvale.I think it is a jigging master popper rod.I was going to buy it before but with the smiths i got off Simon c and my trusty old 700h deathstick i couldnt justify it in the collection.Good luck with the trip Rus i hope you have a ball.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?
