These are normal routed flights Rob not special charters. The cheapest Qantas redeye is $1100 which is on their nomal service schedule. It's a cash grab. There are plenty of standby 737's at Perth airport so no need to bring empty planes over.

My missus managed to get me on a friday night flight to Adelaide. A saturday morning flight to melbourne arriving just before midday :/ and a flight home wednesday. Staying with a mate while I am there who got the tickets on my membership so he's happy.

I heard someone on the radio today got around the huge prices for airline tickets by taking several overseas flights from perth before getting into melbourne late grand final eve....all for $652! One of the fairs was a $2 fare....take that rip off merchants!
i think i will run into the collie wobblers doing their altitude training! level 4 q36 row w....can't get much further from the playing surface.... but i don't give a fuck!!!
i am getting there and back about $500 and 65000 frequent flyer points poorer. I reckon the missus did pretty good on the flights and i am crashing at a mate's who is coming to the game with me.
From the 50 metre line - Olympic stand - do you reckon she will be as happy as a pig in the proverbial - there are a huge bank of dockers in level 4 Q54 so the atmosphere even at altitude should be electric
