Nice idea
Nice idea mate, I suppose that solves the question of muffs or the flushing point on the motor .
Cheers Grant..

Does the hose put out enough
Does the hose put out enough pressure to make it work ok?
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

thats a different flushing
thats a different flushing point to my yammy. On mine its up next to the power head and is definitely NOT to be used with the engine running.

All Boats in Wangarra have at
All Boats in Wangarra have at the moment for $22 a set the double waterfeed muffs for sale in 2 different sizes.
These go over the water inlets of most if not all outboards and I/O.

Flushing point !!!
Unless I'm horribly mistaken and no offence intended that doesnt look a factory flushing point { the brass fitting on right side of motor } ..where that fitting is placed is I think in the exhaust housing and would do nothing at all { the water pump is further forward and sealed to the housing }...
Most if not all flushing connectors are up by the power head on the lower cowl near your trim button and are not to be used running ...
Also the use of ear muffs on large hp motors { im talking 200-250 hear but maybe lower} is useless, the volume of water needed to prime and supply the water pump cannot be feed by a garden hose, if you try it it you will get nothing out of the tell tail ..
If you really feel you need to flush the motor through the water pickup just simply cut a 44 in half and lower the motor into that ...

agree but.....
In fact Ive just had a look at my 115-that is EXACTLY where the upper level gearbox oil plug is on mine though opposite side.
Best reassess you flushing device quick smart and cancel the patent application for now? And maybe buy some gearbox oil. Personally Ive never seen that sort of "flushing connection"?
but rather than a 44 there is a collapsable canvas bucket available (cant be assed looking for it now) from one of BIAS/WhitW etc which takes up no space.

just added a couple more
just added a couple more photos to original thread didnt know how to upload them when i pressed reply button.
my motor is a 30hp 2st mariner top hole is a wash hole (factory fitted) bottom hole is for gear box oil.
yes i know it is a bit of an overkill just to flush your motor, but hey i was just messing around at home and thought hey a dual flusher.
yes i got enough water pressure to flush the motor(dodgy)
cheers

flushing motor
Oh well ,there you go proven wrong !!!!
Seeing as its a small motor the muffs by them selves would be sufficient ,, I wonder where that extra port goes too ????

yeah looks like it
On mine the top plug is above the cavitation plate, on his below.
But I cant read the writing on your photos, is that port above the pump, in which case its intended for flushing WITHOUT the motor running?
