 if you zoom in on the fish measure in the background you can see "breaksea cod" at the 30cm mark.  these are great eating, and very distintive by the black spot at their anal passage, hence the name black arse...  they are also one of the four demersal species, along with dhufish, baldchin groper, and pink snapper that are threatened by over fishing atound the metro area, so make sure you are aware of the current regulations, size and bag limits.  you should also have a release weight on board if you are targeting these types of fish.  they have a high mortality rate if not released properly.  

 

next time you catch one and can keep it, enjoy!  they are superb eating, on the bbq with very little else done to them.
