Identifying fish?

Hi there,Anybody know how to identify fish that i have caught? l'm completely new to the game and i don't want to fall foul of the 101111 regulations with the fisheries.
Also, anyone got a clue what fish this is and whether it is edible?

definatly wrasse, yeah you
definatly wrasse, yeah you can eat them and they arent too bad, they have a soft white flesh that can break up but cook in a bit of butter in a pan and alls good, lots of fishos look past these fish for a feed but they are better on the tooth than some fish that people keep. try it out and then make up your own mind weather to keep them next time or just send them swimming

yup
and yes i did catch those guys from the reef! Seemed like a conveyer belt of wrasse, all the same type! Never did catch any other type of fish while i was there.

i HATE those things with a passion, there a nuissance, i call em shit eating blowies, the fillets go good as bait though, ive caught a few sambos on them.

Great Crab bait............. they are nice and tough so they stay in the pot longer than lots of other types of fish.
I haven't eaten these, but as mentioned above the Western King Wrasse is pretty damn tasty if eaten very fresh. the meat is a little soft but very white and has a good flavour.
