Jetty report
Was down there on Friday and caught 11 squid, there were plenty of herring and yellowtail around also but weren't targeting them. When the sun got low the tailor started to turn up, chased squid jigs up-blokes were catching them in the 40 cm mark on metals.

Living here I get to see some of the fish caught, well I guess you all know how wide (NOT long) a normal beach towel is
well a few weeks ago a young couple caught a snapper off the jetty while ballooning baits in the morning, it was 2" shorter than the beach towel is wide
Now that IS a nice sized fish, they had placed it on the towel to scale and clean it before taking it back to Perth that afternoon
Yes I saw it with my own eyes, was not a 'story' passed on by someone else on the jetty that day
I was told by the couple there was one other snapper caught that morning in the same visinity

I was down there a couple of nights ago. I went hunting squid, and got 8 with the smallest tube going 24cm. there was some impressive size schools of herring, with Tailor being caught out towards the end. Strip baits of Tailor or Herring under a balloon would be ideal at this time of the year. there is a northerly blowing up on sunday and monday, and then it drops out on tuesday. I would be soaking a bait on Tuesday night.
