ledge point
I have stayed at Ledge with a local cray man and all the cray boats are anchored up south of the main car park as you hit the coast. There is a hard sand launching south of the main car park and in the right conditions you should have no problems. There may be planking and stuff on the beach.it is protected by a big sand bar bit like bent st ramp. The offshore fishing is very good. There are a lot of old wrecks in the area.Good luck
just do it.

The half a dozen times we
The half a dozen times we have fished at ledge, you can beach launch (even that size). (my brother's boat and our friends boat, both 5+m glass boats)
We have caught demersals in water no deeper than 15-20m. We just looked for structures. The last time was 3 years ago though.
Most of the success was pretty much westerly from Ledge about 3-5km out. We never ventured out too far.

This time of year I know
This time of year I know Ledge becomes clogged with weed and it's a pain in the ass. Haven't been up there lately, but it will happen sooner or later, stinks the whole town out. Saying that I've launched at Ledge before a few times with no real dramas.
Love the West!
