Hi Guys,
I am fairly new to WA, and my fishing excursions have resulted in a big failure so far. I live in Pinjarra, and I hope to get up to Kalbarri sometime around late October for a week or so.
I have a 14ft fibreglass runabout and a Falcon sedan so no 4wd for me. Could anyone here give me a few tips for Kalbarri or anywhere around Mandurah in the meantime. With my relatively small boat, would it be worth hauling it up to Kalbarri?
Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

worth the trouble
kalbarri is a great spot for a break and is a good spot to fish from a boat. no matter the size. the reef life is quite diverse. have fished the baz from both boat and land almost every year for about 35 years. highly recommended.

Thanks meersy, I have ventured out to the first reef?, outside of the Mandurah heads. Two wrasse and several very small whiting. Used soft plastics. Do I need more patience maybe?

Thanks, I have only been
Thanks, I have only been outside Dawesville on a joy ride. Did notice some crab or cray bouys. No boats there however but plenty inside the estuary. How far out could a 14ft go here?

Whatever you're comfortable
Whatever you're comfortable with. I mean don't go totally stupid, and ensure you have all the safety gear required by law to venture out. But if the swell is down and the chop is down, you can get out a fair way.
