Its been 3 years since our last trip away.
We finally have broken free from the shop for 10 days and going north. Coral Bay here we come.
realy looking forward to getting away for a break and a chance to have a fish and snorkle in the warm waters. along with a chance to relax
We are looking at going for a swim with the mantas and whale sharks if they are around , something we both want to do
How many others will be there at the end of april.

Good to hear! Time for the fish to feed you instead of you feeding the people. Hope you catch a heap and it makes up for all the time not spent fishing away at a sunny location.

one can only hope about the gentle giants. thanks for the info. do they still do the whale shark tours out from CB ?
the prob with your own bussiness is finding staff to run it the way it should be when your away. not to mention saving the $. it all seems to go back into the shop when your getting things up and running. dont think it will be 3 years till our next one tho unless its a permanent holiday exploring Oz

Hey Faulkner family, sounds like you guys deserve a good holiday.
I have only stopped in Coral Bay for the day a few years back and it looks beautiful.
I am planning to do the trip next year - and look forward to your posts of the fish you catch and how you went about it !
Do you have any specific plans for the fishing ? Target species ?

Depends Russ
If you are taking the chip pan and extra chicken salt then I am sure there will be a few fishwrecked members eager to join you in Coral Bay (hehehe)
I can't believe it was 3 years since the Exmouth trip?
Have a great time guys, fish hard and stay safe.
Cheers

(No subject)Part 6 final chapter : BANGERS THE BADGINGARA CRUMBE
Hey Andy. just as a reminder, here is the link to Bangers
Waiting for my mates from Perth to pick me up from the roadhouse I had packed my greasiest best bag for the trip. Yeah they are here Russ and I had a pic to start the trip to Exmouth yeah warm weather hope I don’t melt
Hey don’t eat me First stop on my first trip over the 26th parallel with the help from Russ & Nathan i had to have my pic takenAnd it looks like the tackle shack had been here too (LOL)
Then we were off to Carnarvon . Once there I was relaxing with a view of the plantation beside where were staying, when I saw the banana trees it got thinking of an old love maybe just maybe we might be able to before we leave catch up (thinking sweet naughty thoughts)
Russ made some inquiries for me and we were due to meet the next morning Could not sleep thinking about her Here she is miss Chocolate coated Banana the yummiest thing in the north
After a about 5 mins we had to part as she was starting to melt for me all over again parting is such a sweet sorrow Arriving in Exmouth we decided to take in a few sights before hitting up Adam for local info We went to the light house first
Man what a view took my mind off miss banana started thinking mmmm where are all the good fishing spots heard that the Mildura Wreck was a good land based fishing spot so we checked it out after noting of cause several good potential spots to check out.
Darn low tide maybe tomorrow Next day the with the wind still up I get to meet the great Adam cant wait is he here yet I kept asking Russ , when around the van across the road he came
Unfortunately he could not stay long as he had to go away for work for a week so after handing over the fishwreacked shirts to the Faulkner’s I was rather sad as he did not have xxxxxxs (smallest shirt) for me, I returned to my bed in the freezer (found the weather a bit to hot) so after Adam showed Russ all the best spots (sure) and a promise to come back he left .I then decided to join the family in the mud crab hunt Made another good friend in Muddy
He even shared my room in the freezer for a bit but then left with out even a note saying good by feeling rejected ,I heard about miss Prawn so Russ kindly took me to meet her maybe she would be the one
But she was just was not into my cheesey jokes or my greasy best bag and I just new it would not work out so I high jacked the Faulkner’s Nissan feeling rejected so with the boys we set out to see the sights , I was on the camera as I had fallen over twisting my lower crumb
Sadly I was laid up doctors order as my lower crumb was getting worse due to the doc said me sleeping in the freezer go figure .The weather was great and i recovered feeling a lot better so I decided to go snorkelling with the family so off with the grease paper bag and on with the plastic cryovac wet suit
Maybe there is a cute fishy babe down there for me but I really don’t think they saw the best side of me the inside that is Today Russ is taking me fishing in the boat he kept me in the dark esky all the way out. then the lid opened and he told me it was time for my first ever fishing experience as I was a novice at this he tied me to the hook and started to lower me down into the water when I ask are you sure this is how you fish he said yeah mate the only way but you need to hold your breath. After about 5 min I was turning blue when whack the large silver thing grabbed me and started taking me back to my mate Russ .
Brenden me young mate grabbed me out of the water when I came too I was attached to this large Pennant fish my first ever Fish And LAST IF THIS IS FISHING I AM OUT OF HERE
Look what Russ did to me
I returned to the esky and stayed there packing the poops with Russ but really I was quite pleased with my first and last fishing attempt but I will not tell Russ. Oh yeah he did say he was sorry and dried me off.Sadly my holiday ended as Russ and family dropped me off back home at Badgingarra a great two week adventure I had had but I will never ever go fishing again and the only girl that was hooked on me I was not interested in ha ha ha Bye and thanks for reading my story. Just one thing “Hi to Andy Mac who has taken a lot of my family on his holidays” say hi to them for me please as they are yet to return home with their stories.

Three years without a decent break, what a killer. I'm on a three year break LOL, don't want to think about coming back to the real world. I really hope you guys enjoy your time off.
