Jurien Bay - Feb

Hi,
Heading to Jurien Bay at the end of Feb for a few nights and haven't fished up that way before. Wondered if there are many here that have and what kind of species might be on the bite that time of year.
Also gonna be doing a couple of dives for crays so any advice on what kinda depths they are usually in up there would be appreciated.
Thanks

You have numerous options
You have numerous options out of Jurien.
If the swell is down you can head out the South passage towards the Big Bank. Just keep on going to the 40 m mark. Usual demersals. If the swell is up you can usually get out through the north.
That time of the year you can pick up Spanish Mackerel behind seaward ledge. 15 to 20 m drop off.
Sand patches behind and north of Favorite Island for Whiting.
You can get plenty of demersals in closer, my biggest Dhu was from 6m of water out from North head.

Looks like some awesome
Looks like some awesome country for diving out behind the island. Im sure we will find some fish.
I have been on a few charters up there with whitey and he always had us bagged out pretty early heading out to the 40-50m range and some stonka mackeral. Looking forward to it. We better book our accommodation.

we had success due west of
we had success due west of the ramp in 50-70m. Knew we were on good ground when a charter arrived a few hundred mwetres away.
A an said, watch the southern channel in swell as we had a wave stand up on us heading out and had a bit of air time and skinned knees.
