I'm sure he'll tell you about the one that pulled him over the side of the boat. If it was for the bait board and the line eventually snapping I would have been using the bogas to fish him out too :-)
My mate was running a new model Saltiga 4500 which I think is his Rompin Sailfish set up and I was just using a Deep Jig 200 with an old Penn 750s. I got my hand pulled in between the bail arm and the spool sevaral times whilst trying to palm the spool to slow them down. It was a painful experience!!
HELL YEAHH nice sambos mate, very good effort is bringing in those fish in such shallow water and reefy surroundings. Seeing these photos gets me very excited, going sambo jigging with a charter after my uni exams are done, cant wait.

... and 12m is the sandbank we were anchored on but the whole way around us was reef up to 4m deep.
I have no idea how we didn't get bricked!
