kayak fishing exmouth

am wondering if anyone can help with some info re kayak fishing in Exmouth
am thinking of getting a yak ,but would like to know if the access to wppett creek or bay of rest is friendly
to 2 wheel drive as have Hilux ute am wanting to drive to the creek and launch kayak into creek
poss even down to bay of rest area
have been up a few times from rockingham and a kayak best chance of my getting in the water to fish
am arriving in Exmouth May 2017 so am trying to do my research now
also trying to find what yak to buy all a bit of info overload
if anyone can help it would be very appreciated

The sand flies won't be much
The sand flies won't be much fun. Access is ok to Wapet as far as I recall, little sketchy in parts and it's a long walk out if you do get stuck. Some monster fish in Wapet, spent a couple of nights there trying to stop unstoppables on 50lb braid and 100lb wind ons.
You won't get into Bay of Rest.
