Kayak fishing Parmelia bank?

Hi all,
Im looking to expand my kayak fishing (beyond penquin island). Can anyone tell me where I could launch within reasonable distance from parmelia bank? or is it to far offshore? any safety issues?
Does anyone kayak fish out in this area?

All the kayak guys launch
All the kayak guys launch from Woodys point right out on the groyne carpark and its a short paddle around,there will be plenty of kayak fishos there in the morning and most weekends, not forgetting the calamari classic on the 14th Nov as well.
You can catch whiting ,squid and crabs in season mainly,good luck,,
