Keep Barra
Having the 5 week fishing itch it was time to hit the water
I haven't fished the Keep since about 2002 so after being here for a while now it was time to go..........
Two crews headed out, Bob and I in his tinnie and Nick and Jamie in Jamie's tinnie.
The Keep is only really servicable with small boats. It's tight boggy launching/retrieving.
Nick backing down to launch
Just about done, even had to use the winch to pull the Lux out.........
It was a mix of trolling, casting and trolling for the day and we pulled mobs of Barra, nothing big but plenty of action.
Barra surgery
Bob's first for the day
Couple for me
Plenty of these.......
POC has been making his own plastics and he graciously sent me some last week..... so I 'tied one on'.......
I dropped two Barra but boated this Jack
Very good plastics mate
Looking forward to using the rest.
Nick grabbed one and three casts later also had a Barra
Killer lures for the day were the Mad Mullet 2.5" and Killalure Flatz Rat 2 (hint hint POC)
Just to the left of this ramp is a solid rockbar and I dropped a HORSE here today.......
Was all over in seconds...........
