just wondering, are you clicking "back" after each time you make a post? Just trying to figure out why theres so many double posts on this site??! Im going to try it on this comment :)
Goes better in the ocean lol, Side mounted baitboard and a fold up ladder in case you go for a swim on purpose or not Get a spare tyre if it didn't come with one and you can Get a bracket to mount it on the draw bar. Might pay to do your bearings if you don't know the history and are gonna tow it around a bit
What you can do is drill holes into the small aliminium cover at the front and put heaps of rod holders in there.
As others have mentioned, good quality floors are a must because you don't want to slip on the wet ali and go for a swim. Set me back around $200 to do about a 1.5x1.8m space in my dinghy (carpet, marine grade wood, glue...)
Sounder by itself is around 180 for a good one (still black and white, but the eagle gps that i have never lies when it says fis) Decent GPS will set you back around 800 bucks- one that has depths/colour...
I have an eagle fishfinder and GPS (not combo) and the GPS was $1500 with maps of whole of australia and it was the best thing. If your getting into boating, get something good that you can take off and use on a bigger boat when you sell the tinny
u can get a gd basic handheld gps for $100-150 but if u wanna do it properly, go the hds 5 or bigger so u can use rewind on the sounder and mark spots a lot easier. i have a hds 10 because i use the sounder and gps together. along with side scan/stucture scan its a pretty lethal combination for the price. a hds 5 sounder proly abou 700ish but well worth it. ive looked back on an hr worth of sounding and marked all the gd stuff i seen with precision, unlike any mapping unless u have a rewind function on the sounder, also side scan finds the lumps u missed on down scan and u can mark spots 40+mtrs each side of the boat.
as your starting out with the boat and probably going to be spending money left right and centre. A cheap GPS option maybe until you decide what you want is the Iphone Navionics app (providing you have and iphone) think the app is about $20 now. I used it till I could afford what I wanted and it served me well enough to navigate reefs and see all the contours

Canopy
A canopy is a good investment, especially during the warmer months.
I know all these things cost you....the initial purchase price is only the beginning.

Not so sure,
canopies on dingies are terrible. Poles are always in the way, never high enough and end up being folded up to rot anyway, JMO.
All you need is a good floor, decent sounder and a GPS of some kind (combo's are great in tinnies).
Then you can chuck in some rod holders and storage options for knives, pliers and other tools.
Simple is always best for tinnies.
