KG on SP, a first!

Dunno if this is a suprise to anyone else, but was having a flick in Dawesville Cut yesterday for Skippy, and the result...
Only a lil feller at about 25cmish (didnt measure) so thru him back, couldn't help but take a quick snap, as I've never seen a whiting of any sort caught on sp's b4.
Took a 4" McArthy on a fairly quick/flicky retrieve.

Your pictures arent working
But whiting on plastics aren't as uncommon as you may think. Caught a few whiting at hillaries (yes there are fish there what a shock) with leemo and uluabuster. I thought i fluked the first one but we caught 5 in 30 min i think eric has a photo

Good catch Blowie, maybe
Good catch Blowie, maybe next time you plan on releasing a fish that you don't drop it in the dirt for a photo. Most fish have a protective film over thier scales and damaging that can lead to infection and a slow death.

good catch, dropping a fish
good catch,
dropping a fish in the dirt or sand is actually way better for their protective film than handling with a rag or your bare hands for future reference

I've spent a bit of time
I've spent a bit of time chasing KGs on plastic worms and small minnows and they definitely hit them. They can be quite aggressive on plastics, when compared to how they suck on a bait.

crabs
plastic crabs work well for them too when fishing deeper water.

When i wouldnt get stuff on
When i wouldnt get stuff on SP`s i use to cut them into small bits and use them like normal bait and i use to catch whiting on them!!!! LOL!
I love fishing. It`s escaping reality for a few hours for me!
