Hi People
I am after a nice place, north-side to take my little one fishing thats nice and sheltered and safe, don't need to know any of the "secret" spots, just a nice place that doesn't have too many blowies. She is very keen but just catches blowies, I usually go to Ocean Reef Marina, and when we release them she is always very concerned about how they are going to get back home!!!
Thanks
Mick
Her first fish, very sad, but still excited!

theres 2 spots to try The
theres 2 spots to try
The Corner of the South and West wall:
use a bobby float with a hole in the middle and about 50-60cm of 10lb mono... use a size 4 or 2 longshank hook (mustad pref.). for bait use a green straw or lumo tube (about 5-8cm). make sure very cast you have berley in the bobby float until the herring start biting... also if its a bit slow still use the green tube but put soem prawn on the end.
the beach between the north wall and the boat ramps:
use a berley cage sinker witha paternoster setup, 2 hooks (size 6). bait is small pieces of squid. cast about 30m past the drop off and reel in slowly... it takes a lot of time but you stand a great chance of catching a 2kg mullet!
