Kill Bags

Can anyone recommend a kill bag to keep fish cold, instead of an esky/icebox? I'm looking for something that could hold  4 large dimersals. The bags I've seen online seem too large for my purposes.

Precision pak are OK. Not very thick insulation though, so I added an inner envelope of 10mm camping mat.

Thanks Mr Meks. Are you referring to the kayak fishing one? I'm looking for a trailerboat option.

Edit: sorry, found the Wilson one you are referring to. That looks good.

one of those Insulated bags

one of those insulated bags for meat from the supermarket and a Techi-ice sheet or two from site sponsor Xtreme coolers would be good - just put the Techni ice in a bag to stop it getting fishy  Or if you have a kill tank just put the techni ice sheet in a bag on top to get/keep everything cold

I'm not too familiar with the meat bags. Do they come in a decent size for snapper and dhuies?

These look ok, altho they are designed for Pelagics you could fit a few demersals in them. I have delt with these guy's before for other items and have had no problems with orders. Check them out -- http://www.downriggershop.com.au/chiller-bag.html

I have one of these which I use to put spanish macks in.  It does not really keep ice, but will at least keep your fish shaded and moist.  It is made out of stubby holder material.

I would recommend a better bag which is watertight and foil lined.  These keep ice well.

Fish Bags

Hey guys, I missed this post, but we do carry Fish Bags in stock for $199.00. The bags themselves measure 1500mm x 500mm x 300mm and are insulated with a drain port for clearing water out of the bag.

Southern Tackle...but go Chivers

Sat, 2013-09-14 07:59

I have one from Southern Tackle...it's kept in the bow until needed.

keeps the deck clear instead of running a long fish esky. Cleans out very well. No more bent or trunked long fish...

Chivers price is very good and looks the same, If I had researched harder before I bought mine last year I would have got it from chivers...
